I think I just peed a little.

What an interesting internal turmoil for Kal El to be entrenched in. He was born of Kryptonian parents, but grew up respecting humans as his equal, despite his alien heritage. Clark’s biggest paradox is that he is subject to a delicate balance of selflessness and selfishness in his life choice in of using his powers to constantly save human beings. He does so to discover his true heritage: he knows that it is his destiny to save people, and therefore part of him does this simply to figure out who he is rather than for the act itself. This is partially why this plot is going to be so interesting in terms of Superman’s never-ending character development.
